Kiln Foundation Update 5/30

We are working on our kiln foundation this week too. We started laying foundation bricks between the end of Anagama chamber and the front side of Salt chamber first. It takes a lot of time to lay bricks because it's very heavy (50lb/a brick) and must make sure its level each by each. But we can't complain because foundation is the most important to build anything on it. Just keep mouth shut, work hard and be patient.
We bought 16 tons of gravel and 17 tons of sand, but we are sure to use most of them by the end of finishing up our kiln building.

Lastly, our good neighbour Chris Luther is building new studio and we went to help putting wall this evening, and we could see his new puppy (English Bulldog) again. It's too cute.
I am the baby!
