Kiln Building Update 8/7

Same thing as yesterday. Finished one more layer today. Very tired. We also got some castable cement for some arch part. Back side is getting tight and close to the arch. It's difficult to follow the wooded form because brick is too big for the curve.

the kiln looks better and better every day- you are both working very hard to build this nice klin.
And I love that kiln master "Ken" is helping!

> Hi everyone,

Thank you for your comments. Yes, our son loves to work(?) around the kiln and enjoys a lot. It's not baby proof area though.

There are lots of things to think as well as work, but when we stuck bricks, we just need to concentrate one brick in front of us. Just keep doing again and again, then we see how much we move up in the end of the day. Sometimes feels so good, sometimes take down and do it again. HAHAHA

Our good friend told us that making this shape kiln is similar to making large jar...different materials, technique, and direction, though. But we 100% agreed it, I wonder why.
