How to enjoy this cold weather

the first snowman

It's been so cold and we got stuck in the house in those days. Snow is fun, but not icy. It was good idea we cut and prepared lots of fire wood for stove before snowing. Even tiny wood stove, it makes our small house really cozy.

this will last for a week
Last weekend, we worked on cleaning up field. One of the huge oak tree fell down two years ago, and there were many piles of branches close to our house, and finally we moved them to woods. Good exercises for sure.
Branches are all clean out
Ken helped cutting fire wood by his toy chain saw. He enjoys working outside with his father. It's too cold for Tomo who is just 8 months old, but he likes to walk outside for short time.

When boys taking nap, we worked on putting insulation on studio walls. It's better to have insulation for kiln and building. This project will take more time, maybe until spring or so, and we are good at working a little by little.

Fixing old building is really expensive and time consuming hobby, don't you think?
